PhD student in Anthropological Genetics, studying genomic diversity and demography of enslaved-African descendant populations. In particular, I am interested in reconstructing complex histories of sex-biased admixture in Cabo Verde and São Tomé e Príncipe, two of the earliest European peopling colonies in Sub-Saharan Africa and commercial platforms crucial to the establishment of slave trade and plantation system.
