Présentation

I am a PhD student specializing in the genomic diversity and demography of recently admixed human populations. My research focuses on the complex histories of admixture on the island of São Tomé, one of the earliest plantation economies of the colonial era and a key commercial hub in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. My work highlights the influence of socio-historical dynamics during and after this period on genetic diversity patterns in this pivotal African region.
